Eagle Wood Windows
Comfort's line of Eagle Wood Windows and Doors are built to last. Our clad windows and doors feature rugged thick extruded alumnum cladding. Many other aluminum-clad products feature much, much thinner roll-formed aluminum that cannot provide as much structural integrity. Ours are made with 6063 T-6 heavy-gauge aluminum, which provides outstanding strength and durability. The exterior cladding needs little maintenance. It also resists corrosion. The strong extrusion is a key structural component of our windows and doors, not just an aesthetic covering. The added strength is important for larger sizes, and when combining several units together.
Many of the unexposed parts of our wood windows and doors are make of Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) or finger-jointed lumber. These are engineered wood products, and are solid, highly predictable and resist warping.
The solid wood used in Comfort's Eagle Wood Windows and Doors is kiln dried, and treated with water repellent and preservative in accordance with the WDMA I.S. standards. Real wood provides insulating value plus unsurpassed beauty and decorating flexibility. During the manufacturing process, appropriate extruded aluminum components are skillfully slid onto the wood, and fastened to the other aluminum extrusions, not the wood, thereby allowing each material to expand and contract at its own rate.
Comfort's line of Eagle Wood Windows and Doors come standard with our LowE glass package, but can be upgraded with our Heatmirror packages as well. With eight different interior wood species and 50 standard exterior colors to choose from, our wood windows and doors offer not only top of the line performance, but also superior craftsmanship durability.
